Mansingh Dodia was born in 1978 in Kodinar village of Kodinar taluka. Which is located in Gir Somnath district. Born into a Gujarati family.

He did his primary studies from 1st to 7th standard in his hometown Kodinar, studied from 8th to 10th standard in Swaminarayan Gurukul Gondal (Rajkot) and did 11th and 12th in Deli village of Walia taluka of Bharuch district and Completed studies in J.P.College Bharuch.

He was always inspired by the stories of the great patriots of the nation and dreamed of working for the progress of the motherland.

He was particularly inspired and influenced by the ideology and vision of the Indian National Congress and became an active member of NSUI, the student wing of the Indian National Congress from the 1999. It was an act that changed his life forever and set him on an important journey towards the leadership of the Indian National Congress.

Mansingh Dodia worked for the student wing of the Indian National Congress-NSUI for over six years. Mansingh Dodia became a member of the Youth Congress in 2005. His first assignment was to the city vice president, then to the delegates of Gujarat Youth Congress. After successfully fulfilling this responsibility, he was elected as the President of Gujarat Youth Congress in the organization election of Gujarat Youth Congress (IYC). Then he fulfilled his responsibility as the State General Secretary of Gujarat Congress, in-charge of zone, in-charge of Lok Sabha.

In these roles he became the mentor of many youth of Gujarat region.
